On Thursday, 25th June 24 Year 10 students set off for Worthing Rugby Club in Angmering to take part in the Army Schools Challenge. The students were split into two teams, named by Mr Hauxwell and Team Murray and Team Federer. Each team was met by a guide, a serving soldier, who would accompany their team around the event for the whole day.

Whilst waiting for the start students were allowed to use camouflage paint, if they wished, to disguise themselves. It was interesting to see what they thought of as camouflage, as some of the photos will show! The day consisted of the teams (31 in all from schools across West and East Sussex) taking part in a number of physical and mental challenges, interspersed with talks from different sections of the Army. It was a long, hot and energetic day but both teams performed well, with Team Murray taking second place overall. Well done to everyone that took part.
