ICT – Key Stage 3

At Key Stage 3 students have four lessons each fortnight in years 7 and 8 and three lessons per fortnight in year 9.  Students are taught in form groups throughout the whole of Key Stage 3.

Gifted and talented students are given extension projects in both classwork and homework.  All students also have the opportunity to attend a digital literacy club and animation club after school on Thursday.

ICT Key Stage 4

At Key Stage 4 students have the option to study for the OCR National Award in Information and Communication Technology.  This popular course builds on the ICT skills for business that students have studied at Key Stage 3, but goes into greater depth through a range of projects.
Further details regarding this course, which is the equivalent to two GCSEs, can be found in the Key Stage 4 Courses booklet.

ICT Key Stage 5

At Key Stage 5 we offer a choice of Level 3 BTEC Subsidiary Diploma in IT (single A Level), Level 3 BTEC Diploma in IT (double A Level) and ICT (Computing) at both AS and A2 levels.
