Take a look at what courses are on offer in your area. You may be able to study mainly in one centre, but also access courses in another!

West Sussex - Western Area Secondary Providers
16-19 level 2 offer

Schools and colleges in your local area have been working together to enable students to study in more than one centre. This means that you can:

  • remain at your school/college and access a course at another centre;
  • benefit from continued support and guidance from your ‘home’ school/college;
  • attend additional courses to enrich your learning, e.g. Maths and English GCSE resits, ECDL, Language GCSEs;
  • choose from a range of qualifications, e.g. BTEC and GCSE;
  • and develop the skills that you need to progress to higher/further education or the workplace.

What are Level 2 courses?

Learning at Level 2 involves building detailed knowledge and/or skills in relation to a subject area, which may be linked to work. Level 2 courses include BTEC First Diplomas/Certificates and GCSEs at grades A*-C. Most Level 2 courses in the shared offer run over 1 year.

What should I do now?

Study the information on this website! If you would like to find out more about the shared offer, please talk to the appropriate person in your school or your Connexions Advisor. If you would like to study a course outside of your ‘home’ school/college, you will need to contact the appropriate person (listed on this website) and complete an application form.

Entry to Courses

Always ask what the entry requirements are for the course in which you are interested.

Further Information

  • Please note that this is not a guaranteed offer. Some courses may not run if there are insufficient numbers etc.
  • Schools/Colleges will offer places on their courses to their ‘home’ students first, so please ensure that you discuss place availability with the relevant school/college before completing your application.
