  1. Read through this Sixth Form Prospectus carefully.

  2. Attend the Sixth Form Open Evening on Thursday 6th November. On this evening you will have the opportunity to meet with staff and students and to discuss your suitability for the course.

  3. Application Forms will be available from 19th January 2009 and will need to be returned by 2nd February 2009.

If you are an external candidate, please contact the Sixth Form Year Manager who will add your details to our mailing list.

  4. Individual interviews will take place w/b 23rd February 2009. Most students are offered a provisional place in the Sixth Form following this interview.

  5. Attend the Sixth Form Induction Period – 7th July to 9th July 2009.

  6. Course Enrolment – this will take place shortly after you receive your GCSE results (Thursday 27th August 2009). At this point we can confirm or make any necessary changes to your choice of subjects.
It is not possible, at the time of going to print, to be precise about the combination of subjects that will be possible and so we have deliberately not included an application form. A form, together with detailed guidelines for completion, will be issued on 19th January 2009.

The forms will need to be completed and returned by 2nd February 2009, with interviews taking place week beginning 23rd February 2009. However, it will be possible for students to change their minds about subject choice, even as late as August when results are published.

All prospective Sixth Form students will be expected to come in to college on Friday 28th August 2009 to confirm their courses and enrol for the Sixth Form.
