Students are in the Sixth Form because they have chosen to work to improve their academic competence and to increase their prospects of a rewarding career. They are there to grow in confidence socially and further develop their knowledge of the world in general. The Sixth Form is not the place for passive or part-time students. In the broadest sense, all the time a student spends in college is educative – none more so than the Private Study periods that provide a valuable training in self-discipline and personal organisation. All students are asked to sign a contract that reflects this need.
