We are so proud of all our Year 11 students and how hard they have worked over the past
two years in the most difficult of circumstances. As we approach the last few weeks I just
wanted to write with an update before we break up for the Easter holidays.
Those students who purchased a Leaver’s hoodie will be able to wear these after Easter
instead of their school blazer. All other uniform rules apply so students must be wearing their
school shirt and tie under their hoodie. As per the current rules, students will not be allowed
to wear any other non-FCC hoodie or sweatshirt.
We would be very grateful for any donations of blazers that are in a reasonable condition;
students can bring these to Mrs Chester in N29b, thank you.
It is important that students spend time over the Easter holidays relaxing and recharging
before the busy half-term we have ahead of us. Equally though, the students will be
expected to revise and work throughout the holiday as directed by teaching staff. We
appreciate that some students may find it difficult to work at home, so the school library will
be open from 10.00am to 2.00pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays for Year 11.
There will not be any taught sessions; however, it will provide them with a quiet place to
study with access to computers should they need them, and a senior member of staff
To help support any student who is feeling worried about their upcoming GCSE exams, the
MHST (Mental Health Support Team) will be running a session on dealing with exam stress;
this will take place on Wednesday 27th April afterschool at a venue to be confirmed. Please
encourage your son/daughter to sign up with their form tutor, or the year office, if they would
like to attend.
More details about arrangements for the Prom, exams and a final assembly will come out
early next term.
In the meantime, if you have any questions please email either myself
email@example.com, Mrs Peterson firstname.lastname@example.org or your child’s form tutor.
