Felpham Community College raise over £13,000 for Charity!

On Tuesday the 14th October, Felpham Community College held their Charity Cheque Presentation Ceremony, for the fundraising they completed in 2025/2026.

Last academic year, the school hosted a full programme of events including 3 non-school uniform days, a Christmas Fair and Charity Raffle, a Sponsored Dog Walk, a Talent Show and a whole host of summer events within Youth Action Week in July – 10 tuck shops, 2 football tournaments, a colour run, a Summer Fete, a cinema afternoon, sponge the teacher, and a sponsored swim!

At the beginning of the academic year, students, their families, and staff were invited to vote for what charities to support for the year and the successful charities voted in where Cancerwise, St Wilfrid’s Hospice, MS Society and Sage House Dementia Support. The event on the 14th was the opportunity for the charities to collect their cheques. The FCC Sixth Form Make A Difference Committee attended the event as well as students who went above and beyond with their sponsorship with events they took part in.

Jenny Robson, Head Student in charge of Chairty commented:
“It was lovely to give the charities our cheques, we raised over £2000 more than the previous year which is fantastic. In total, £13,400 was raised from the year, with half going to support improving facilities at FCC for students, and the rest being split between the 4 charities. Our students really enjoy taking part in the different events we organised, some of them raised over £100 each for either the sponsored swim or dog walk which was brilliant. All the charities who attended were really grateful, and were impressed with how much we had managed to make. We are now busy making plans for after half term – our Foodbank donation drive, poppy sales and Christmas charity activities!”
