Remote Learning Provision

At Felpham Community College, we provide a broad and balanced curriculum and work hard to ensure that students are able to be present in school to benefit from this. Whilst our focus is very much on providing remote resources as an addition to enhance learning for students attending school, these resources are also useful as a means by which students who are unable to attend on a short-term basis can access learning if they feel able to.

Examples of reasons why a student may find access to remote learning helpful may include:-

  • recovering from short-term infectious illnesses
  • preparing for or recovering from some operations
  • recovering from injuries where attendance might inhibit recovery

Every student at FCC has access to Bromcom via the Student Portal, and homework is routinely placed and scheduled here. Parents and Carers can access this and other information on the My Child At School (MCAS) Portal

All students also have access to Microsoft Teams, which enables each subject to place helpful resources and activities. In addition, links to Inclusion work booklets in all subjects are available as a short-term measure to supplement work set on Teams and Bromcom/MCAS. Year offices will handle requests for hard copies of this resource if needed on an exception basis.
