School Uniform 

School uniform is a key feature of a successful school.  If students look smart it creates a work-like atmosphere in college and leads to fewer distractions from learning. Good uniform also reflects well on the school in the community and fosters a sense of pride and belonging. 

Individuality and creativity are important but should be expressed by students through the curriculum they follow, rather than through personal appearance. 

Our uniform expectations are changing from September 2026 to reflect the latest government guidance on school uniform, which aims to make uniform simpler, more affordable and more flexible for families.

Please note:

• These changes apply only to newly purchased uniform from September 2026.

• Students should and are allowed to continue wearing their current uniform. There is no expectation to replace existing items unless needed.

Branded options that are being phased out can be passed down to younger siblings or bought second-hand. Stock of these is still available from our uniform supplier.

 Our uniform appointment system is now live! You can book a free 1-on-1 uniform fitting by following this link: Secondary School Uniform Fitting.

If your child needs special assistance with uniform fitting, we’re happy to arrange an after-hours appointment at around 5:30 PM. Please call us at 01234 860266 to schedule.

Booking an appointment isn’t mandatory—feel free to drop in anytime. The quietest times are usually 9 AM or 4 PM, and our store is open 9 AM – 5:30 PM Monday to Friday and 10 AM – 4 PM on Sundays.

When collecting online or phone orders, please quote the order collection number shown in your collection email; this helps us locate your items quickly at the till.

Returns Policy: If your child outgrows their uniform after an early purchase, we offer a hassle-free returns policy for school uniforms with tags attached.

Payment Options: We provide a convenient three-payment plan through PayPal, both online and in-store (standard PayPal processing fees apply).

Equipment 

As a basic requirement, students should bring the following, in a named pencil case, to lessons: 

• Pens (black, blue and red)
• Pencils
• Coloured Pencils
• Sharpener
• Highlighter
• Ruler
• Eraser 
• Scientific calculator 

All of the above equipment can be bought separately in the FCC Stationery Shop.  However, students can also buy a stationery starter pack which includes a scientific calculator, colouring pencils, ruler and handwriting pen.
