Disadvantaged / Literacy and Numeracy Reports

Pupil Premium

Pupil Premium is additional government funding for schools allocated for students who are eligible for free school meals (FSM) now, or any time in the last 6 years (E6).  The funding is provided to ensure that additional money reaches the students who need it most.

Gaps in achievement between those who are eligible for FSM and those who are not should be kept to a minimum or eradicated.

It is for schools to decide how to spend the Pupil Premium.  In order to maximise student progress and outcomes, two main items are required:

  • Costed strategic planning
  • Data tracking and intervention
